“Yashotsav “Get together of Yashaswi Institute of Technology.

Yashaswi Institute of Technology, an education institute running Various Diploma Engineering courses on “Learn and Earn” basis in Maharashtra.  Students learning under this scheme have to work in industry.  Yashaswi Institute of Technology provide them two hours classroom training in the industry premises only. While taking practical knowledge under the scheme students appear for semester exams of Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. After three years students get diploma from Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University. At this point student holds Diploma along with three years experience.
Yashaswi Institute of Technology organizes three gatherings in a year for these students. Purpose to hold three gatherings in a year are to give feel to the students that they are students and not workers in an industry. Also this an opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills in the area of arts, literature, dances, singing, acting and so on. Few students take this opportunity to demonstrate their practical technological skills by displaying models of various machines.
This get together provides opportunity for Yashaswi Institute of Technology to reach officers of Industry where students are working. Officers from industry also can see talents of students in different area. For students it is an opportunity to interact with fellow students working in various industries and can share their learning experiences.
Since this learn and earn scheme is a first project under the National Skill Development Mission initiated by Prime Minister of India it is an opportunity for industry, academic institutes and students to set an example for industrial and academic growth for creating national wealth.
To see this event form Public Relations angle Yashotsav activity caters three types of public at a time one is industrial officers, students and entire faculty and staff of Yashaswi Institute of Technology.  This get together creates bonding and also further gives motivation to work for achieving success. Besides these benefits YIT gets publicity in print as well as electronic media. Posters and banners of Yashotsav gathering also create awareness among industrial belt and at the gathering venue. All put together good word about the scheme and YIT spreads to the larger public too.
Role of Marg relations in this event is to offer advice on publicity management, co ordinate with brand ambassador and to look after publicity through print media as well as co ordinate with advertisement agency.

PR Activity of NGO - Sahajeevan Old Age Home of Sutika Seva Mandir.


One of our old customer and friend Dr. Dilip Deodhar who is a trustee of Sutika Seva Mandir (Dr. Kamlabai Godbole hospital- Laxmi Road, has recently constructed Old Age Home at Bhugaon, near Pune.  On Sunday April 28, 2012 Dr. Deodhar had arranged visit of Donors to the Old Age Home. Now the construction is in final stage. The entire Old Age Home is constructed on funds raised through donations right from rupees one hundred to rupees fifty lakhs. Dr. Deodhar had particularly arranged this visit to give information that how donation amount is effectively utilized for the purpose.  Almost 50 Donors were present on the occasion. 
Dr. Deodhar gave the information about Old Age Home.  Facilities such lobby, multipurpose hall for yoga and entertainment, rooms for doctor as well as staff, spacious lift which can carry stretcher, solar energy system, library and many small things which will give comfort to old people are made available with thorough planning. Dr Deodhar mentioned that Sutika Seva Mandir do not accept any donation, subsidy either from government or from any Political Party.  
Actual land is owned by Kiran Thite who is Builder by Profession. Somewhere in 2004 Dr Deodhar and Kiran Thite visited the plot and started planning constructing Old Age Home.  Both had no money and decision was to construct entire project without government aid and subsidy or donation from political person or party.  Dr Deodhar appealed all his well wishers and known people to help. In response to the appeal made by Dr. Deodhar, people responded and donated about rupees two and half crore amount. During last one and half year construction activity took speed and now they are confident that the New Sahajeevan Old Age Home which will accommodate approx 40 persons will be ready by June 2012.
One can see this visit as a PR Activity which offered benefits like mouth Publicity and strengthening credibility in the minds of existing as well as prospective donors.  This also gave great satisfaction to the entire staff of Sutika Seva Mandir which will help boost their moral for future activities.

Who is Public?

Actually when we discuss about Public Relations, it is essential to understand who is Public? Take an example of an Individual Person.  An individual person deals with many people. His family members, neighbors, nearby shop keepers and vendors or service providers, friends, relatives, well wishers, colloquies at work place, professionals like doctors, tax consultant, insurance agent, financial consultants etc.  All these people put together become as public to an individual. Everyone becomes separate category of Public.  Relationship with everyone mentioned above creates an image about an individual in the mind of his public. It may be good or bad. But it exists. Depending on the transactions or behavioral pattern an individual gets an identity which gives him positive and negative results.
Besides an individual for an organization there also exists different kind of Public. Any Private firm, company, Social organization, non government organization has to cater with different kind of Public. First and foremost Public group is known as customers. Any organization caters his customers depending on their employees therefore employees becomes another category of Public. Vendors, suppliers or service providers also play important role in catering customers of an organs ion.  Besides vendors and suppliers business associates, consultants contributes in giving good service or product to the customer. On the other hand in case of bigger company or organization financial institutes, depositors, Shareholders, bankers becomes back bone of an organization. So they also become part of Public concerned to the organization.  Of course, besides above, well wishers of the company also known as Public of an organization. Now a day’s number of media and alternate media is increasing and the all media people have become concerned Public. Beyond all these categories mass at large are connected directly or indirectly to the organization and every company has to deal with them for common interest.
In short we can consider following ten categories as concerned Public to any Individual or organization
